role in the sustained
economic growth of a
country. The link between
transport infrastructure and
economic development is like
giving water to a tree. With
the changing economic
scenario, factors such as
globalization of markets,
international economic
integration, removal of
barriers to business and
trade and increased
competition have enhanced
the need of transportation.
For long, the Government had
contributed to the
development of the transport
sector. Resource constraints
with government and the ever
growing need to improve the
efficiency of transport
operations has encouraged
private sector participation
in the development of
transport sector.
U-DeC has been advising

through private sector
